Okay I'm getting ready to have a horror movie night with my friends in a couple of days and I REALLY want to rent this movie but I can't remember the name!

This boy gets this red car and starts trying to fix it up and stuff but he becomes obsessed with it. The car is possessed to and starts to kill off all the people who have hurt the boy (at one point the car squeezes into a very small ally and squishes one kid, pulls back out, and heals it's self). The car also tries to kill anyone who tries to take the boy from it. In the end the car is distroyed and the boy gets killed. It's a really good movie and it's an old one! Can anyone tell me the name of the movie? I need to know asap!

The movie was awful, IMO. Stick with the book and find a different movie for your party. (or rent a second as a backup)

And I would recommend that if you like the movie to not read the book. You will then realize what a crappy movie it is.

Lol probably! I've read a lot of books after the movies and I now have my own little policy against seeing movies before the books but seeing as I have already seen Christine guess it can't be helped :P. I'll probably still watch the movie but I bet I'll like the book better.

I don't like any of the movies that were adapted from a King novel.

What about that one movie? I can't remember the name but it took up three movies! A bunch of people go into a mansion to investigate ghosts and one is a little girl named annie. People slowly start to die, one guys mom dies, and in the end the head lady gets trapped in the house and dies while the people who are left make it out. I think the movie is rose something... I loved it! I've never heard anyone say that that was a bad one (I've heard people say The Shining is a bad one, I liked the book for that one better though).

I just don't think they have the ability to translate the terror King invokes on film. Not enough time to develop it.

Are you talking about Rose Red?

Ya! That was it! ^.^ I love those movies so much! Scared the out of me too! And you I agree they can't transmit that terror too well in most movies. You know what that blue chick climbs out of the tub in The Shining? I just thought it was gross... my 4 year old sister laughed >.< when child laughs at it... you know it's not that good...

My niece is gutless. She freaks out at the old Christopher Lee movies and some of them were LAME.

Dr Phibes is supposed to be a serious movie, but just didn't make it. His henchwoman was named Vulnavia - if that gives you any indication.

I was reminded by my sister of a movie, but I can't seem to find it on Netflix. It is "Dark Secrets of Harvest Home." Betty Davis is wonderful as the crazy matriarch.

Lol Vulnavia? Wow if this is an old movie it's one of the few that wasn't to good right? (at scarying I mean) lol well other then "The Fury" that movie is not scary at all... so it's in the horror movie section why?

There are some excellent Stephen King adaptations out there. Misery, Carrie and Stand By Me are top notch. And I preferred the film version of Christine to the book.
