Depends how easily do you scare?? I watch 'don't look under the bed' on disney channel and I can't sleep.
Try some of the freddy, movies. Or Chuckie, Child's Play.
Some of the older ones are pretty good too. I mean there nothing compared with some of the movies now but they're pretty good. My personal favorite is Pet Cemetery

I have yet to find one that actually scares me. BUt a few of my recent favorites are:

Disturbia
1408
Perfect Stranger
Number 23
Vacancy
Hostel (that one actually did scare me)
Sublime (as did this one)
Zodiac

It's like Gernald said it really depends how easy you scare (I love horror so they don't bother me that much) also whether you prefer old horrors or new horrors, but you could try:

The Exorcist, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Alien, Amityville.

Romero movies are always good as I like zombie movies the best, like night of the living dead, dawn of the dead and so on.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead (2004), Silent Hill, Resident Evil, the Omen (original or remake), Final Destination, Dead Silence is supposed to have a lot of jumpy bits... I could go on forever but ill give you this instead

I always like "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" and most all of Boris Karloff's movies and Vincent Price.

Some good horror movies are:
*Darkness falls
*Rose Red
*Dog soldiers
*Wolf Creek (based on a true story)
*The Fog
*Ghost Ship
*The Ring
*28 day later / 28 weeks later
It really depends on what type of scary movies you like.
There are also some of the Classics that can't be beaten
*The Exorcist
*Silence of the Lambs
*The Omen
*Psycho
*The Shining

The original Omen... you definitely need the creepy soundtrack. The new version did not have it which was a let down (the whole movie was a disappointment to me).
