When I turn on the washer all I get is a dribble when I am in the hot /warm mode the water is cold... cold water pressure is fine and when I use the warm cool mode pressure is also fine but only cold water comes out... do I need a new washer or is this something I can fix myself. It is and old washer and a large repair bill would make me think about buying a new one... thanks for your help s.a.

Remove the hot water hose and clean out the screen. It is probably clogged thus reducing the water flow

Thank you for your answer I did the right thing with a 20 year old washer I bought a new one thanks again
