I have a Whirlpool refrigerator which was bought in 1991.

It has worked fine until last week. Since then the refrigerator compartment compressor runs continuously and freezes the food. I assume that the thermostat unit has failed and requires replacement.

The information on the identification plate is indistinct but the Model Number appears to be ARB 673 and the Series Number 9112 02230.

I have searched for parts but cannot find any recognition of these Model and Series Numbers.

Can anyone help.

Doesn't Sears repair most appliances now, they have a home repair center, I used to work for them long ago, you can buy your own parts and do the work if you like, do you know where the part is located, is there numbers on it, a technician in the repair facility will help identify it for you, its called customer service, go get some.

Most Whirlpool appliances have an identifying number on the plate, this can look like a bar code and consists of 12 digits usually starting with 85
