I have a 1885 silver dollar how much is it worth?

You can get "book" prices here (http://www.pcgs.com/prices/)but the reality is that they're only worth what someone will pay for them.

The method I use is to find them for sale on eBay then put them on my watch list and see what they sell for.

Remember too that the condition is crucial.

Rickj- I checked out what you had on you last quate , and compared to what my book says on condition of a coin. I do agree with you on the value of a coin or paper money (IT IS ONLY AS Valuable AS THE PERSON THAT WANTS IT< MOST OF THE TIME THEY Don't PAY A NY ATTENTION TO WHAT THE BOOK SAYS> I TRY TO BUT SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO DO) AT A ACTION just recently I JUST missed a 1800 silver dollar that went for $100.00 , in au-50 , condition, book value is ( $7500.00) I know that that guy would have never got it that cheap::::: F.B.E.
