Hello, I just had a baby and had a lot of problems I am not working and can't work right now I have two credit cards one is 7000 and the other is 8000 they are about to charge off, I was wondering if the creditor could take me to court and get a judgement against me? If they do are they allowed to take stuff from my house or take my car or get a granishment against me? Please let me know thanks

Hello honda:
Life is sad and tough. I care….. But, the credit card companies don't. Yes, they'll sue you, and yes they'll get a judgment, and yes with a judgment they'll attach your bank accounts, and yes they'll garnish your wages (but not if you live in Texas)...
No, they can't take stuff from your house and they can't take your car. But that ain't much they can't take.
Work with them. Don't let them charge it off. Negotiate a lower interest rate or a lower payment. Talk to them. They don't want to lose all that money either.
