Movie is set in the future but it has reverted back to a more simple time. No cars, no electricity. It is set kind of in the country. All of the people are afraid of the large robot things. They are either Tri-pods or Bi-pods. I wish I could remember more about the movie. I saw it in between 92-94 (can't remember exactly). I want to say it was a pbs or British mini-series. I watched it in elementary school (if that helps).
I don't think it's war of the worlds for anybody that thinks that right away.
