I need to get some help on how I can lose weight! I have hit my ALL TIME HIGH in weight!

I am on medicine for high blood pressure, depression, and allergies - and this is the medicines that I feel I REALLY need and can some what afford. I have taken my ownself off the rest.

Right now I have sleepapnea, extremely overweight, I am also on medication to keep me awake (Provigil) and just received my blood workup.. . YUCK!! :(
Here is what I received from the doctor's office.

Cholesterol 283
HDL 32
LDL 204
Triglyceride 237

SGOT/AST 87
SGPT/ALT 85

Any suggestions on how I can go about doing this? Oh yeah - My weight is 200 and I am ONLY 5ft tall (barely) :-P

Move and sweat for more than 30 minutes a day and eat between 1200-1600 calories
And do it for a month straight... every day.
You'll lose weight, promise.

Looks to me like you have Insulin Resistance, which means you make enough, if not too much insulin because your body doesn't recognize it, which means the sugar in your blood isn't getting into the cells, so your body makes more- a vicious cycle. So, your triglycerides and HDL show this, and it might be that you have a fatty liver which is why the liver enzymes are high, and your weight reflects this. There is a website I like a lot that describes Insulin Resistance, it also goes into something called Metabolic Syndrome which it sounds like you have or are moving towards: Metabolic Syndrome – Cause of Heart Disease, Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension and more... (http://metabolic-syndrome.insulitelabs.com/).

Good luck with everything,

Dr April
