Hey someone out their in need of help, my 1990 h0nda accord Lx has taken a turn for the worst! The problem is... when I am driving the car it either shifts hard or doesn't want to shift, it is an automatic. The car over revs, and then its like it pops out of gear, there is no power to the wheels that's what it feels like, I did some research, and found that the car had a transmission computer, so I went and bought a new one, because the one that was in it had a burnned circuit. That did not work, and the transmission fluid is not bad (burnned) so the tranny is not bad, I am now thinking that it is a speed sensor, or some kid of sensor, I don't know where the speed sensor is located, or if there is more than one someone please help me. I am about to go nuts and junk a pretty nice car because of one problem. HELP ME PLEASE?

Sounds like the clutch packs may be shot and you're facing a rebuild. Most ATXs are designed to go 125,000 to 150,000 miles before requiring to be rebuilt. This assumes proper maintenance has been performed regularly.

If you don't believe the clutch packs are bad, the computer may be sending incorrect signals due to a faulty sensor, or the transmission is not reacting to the computer command because of a bad connection or defective solenoid pack.
