I am 25 years old and have been on birth control for 5 yrs. My period has never been this late before and never when I've been on the pill!

The first day of my last period was Sept 10th/2007. I should have had my period start around Oct 8th but it never came! I know I missed a pill on Sept 21st and had sex, but can that 1 time make me pregnant when I'm on the pill??

I've been experiencing some odd symptoms. I have been feeling tired all of the time, My lower abdomen has been feeling bloated and crampy... and sometimes I even getting this nauseous feeling... I've noticed it mostly in the morning or when I'm getting hungry! I don't have any tenderness or pain in my breasts.

I have been really stressed out about work and personal issue's!

I took a home pregnancy test on OCT 13th, which came back Negative! I called my doctor and he told me wait other week and do another HPT. I did my second test in the morning on OCT 20th... still negative!

On Oct 6th I had some PINK spotting that only lasted that day... and Oct 19th I had red/brown discharge... never had that before!?

Can anyone tell what's going on??

One time I was sooooo stressed that I was pregnant and I got my period two weeks late. I asked my doc later and she said that I probably was late because I was so stressed. I don't know if that is possible or not. But, I would just stick with what the doc says, wait another week. Don't keep taking pregnancy tests every day. Wait a week and take one, and then regardless of what it says, see a doctor. There are many reasons periods can be late. Also, in regard to the pink spotting, I had this last month. I looked it up online and it said that sometimes that can happen when you are ovulation or due to birth control. Try not to stress too much, it is possible you are just late. For some reason, when I am late, if I do some light stretching and light exercise, it seems to make me start. But, if you feel sick you might not want to do that. Don't worry too much, lots of things can throw your cycle off. Hope this helps. I know what its like to stress about it, believe me!

Also, I forgot to mention, that you should ask a doctor about the spotting if it happens again. From what I read online, the spotting is common on birth control or when you're ovulation, but sometimes it can indicate a health issue. Anything unusual should always be checked out. But, you already called your doc, so good for you.
