Okay, so SDI is State Disability Insurance.
Is it Short Term or Long Term?
What are the conditions and rules?
Up to what amount does it cover?
For how long?
Regards to NY in particular.

A simple Google search yielded the following:

GMHC: New York State Disability (http://gmhc.org/policy/benefits/nys_disability.html)

Seems to cover up to 26 weeks at 50% pay, to a max of $170/wk.

So it IS a Short Term - Paying about 1 year. :(
Even if it is not too much, its good to know.
Thanks for the info.:)
