I have a 4 month old German Shepard Mix puppy. I just found out today that she has the distemper disease. Does anyone have any info about this disease or we I can look. I can only find how to prevent it. I can't find much with people who have dealed with it. I was hoping someone can help and tell me what I can except. She already has the tiks, but anyone know much more about this disease. Any suggestions will be great.

I trust American Veterinary Medical Association (http://www.avma.org) My one old reference book says it attacks the mucus membranes and bacterial infections set in. They also have parvo like diarrhea. I hope the vet already has your puppy on IV. You can only treat the symptoms and hope it survives. At least at 4 months, you have a little more dog to fight it.
