First of all the 2 easy way to find the trouble, #1- go to your electric panel- check to see if breaker is tripped, if it is it will kind of be in center possion , push over to off position then back to on position, check to see if it gets hot now ,it should be a double breaker. #2 check to make sure the vent is not blocked or stopped up ,if OK go to dryer and open panel 0n bottob of dryerand look inside to see if heat eleament is glowing , I always pulled the back panel off see more and check eleament with omn meter ( POWER NEEDS TO BE OFF OR THE CORD NEEDS TO BE UNPLUGED)::::: . If you know how to use one you can do the checking yourself if when you touch both meter leads ,one to each side of eleement, if nedle moves to right on meter the element is OK there is heat sensors one is low heat sensor and the other is high heat senso they need to be checked also. A appliance repairman knows how to check and most only chg.a service call plus cost of parts . 9IF YOU Don't HAVE THE METER DO THE FIRST CHECKS <OR:: IF YOU FEEL UNCORTABLE MESSING WITH ELECTRICAL< Don't FEEL BAD ABOUT IT BUT HAVE A SERVICE MAN DO IT AND STAY SAFE IF it's not these items I have mentioned then it will be the switch ) <BUT I WILL GUESS IT IS THE HEAT ELEMENT GOOD LUCK <HOPE I'VE HELPED ;;; F.B.E.

I think that your heating coil has burned into and is not completing the circuit therefore not getting hot. If you knew how to use a volt meter and an Amp meter I can't tell you how to test the coil.
