Can I get in trouble with probation if I lie on my job application about the felony conviction?

If you lie you could get fired from your job if they find out, and a lot of places do background checks. Why risk it? Tell the truth. A lot of places will hire felons.

Hello lucy:

When I was on probation, they made sure that my employer knew. Even if you lie, I'll bet they'll snitch on you.

Doncha think you are stepping out on the wrong foot to lie about your conviction? People will have more respect for you if you own up to it.

Since probation often checks with who you work for, require statements from your work place and may even visit you at work, all that lying does is cause you to lose your job

I must agree with everyone including myself... Didn't your momma ever tell you not to lie? It only gets you in trouble. Be honest.
