I do not need a very sophisticated Microsoft Word system like Officeword 2007. I just need it to write a letter every so often. Would Mircosoft Word 2003 be the system to use for my needs? Also, how much does it cost?

Use the free Open Office application: OpenOffice.org: Home (http://www.openoffice.org/)

Many new PCs come with Microsoft Works that includes a lite version of Word. You may also find that even WordPad is enough for your needs.
