Thanks to my wife's idea, I am faced with moving our existing toilet three feet to the side of its present location.:( New walls have been studded in, and the floor raised 2 3/8". How far from the wall should the closet flange be set ? Also, this is a 125 year old farm house, I can not tie into the sewer drain pipe and was running new (pvc). How much fall is required? I will be tieing into the sewer drain outside of the house, my problem is trenching under a room addition, there is only about 8" of work space and very hard, rocky ground underneath. Can anybody offer some advice?

The closet stub-up should be 12" out to the center of the stub-up.

1/4" to the foot is normal, however, If space's tight you my drop to 1/8th per foot.

Can anybody offer some advice? Unless your run will be longer then 32 feet ( at 1/4" to the foot) you should have no problem with the 8' restriction. Good luck, Tom
