Tom answered my question but I'm a little confused...

Remove the plate and pull the bucket and linkage assembly up and put. Grease the bucket/stopper up with Vaseline and reinstall. Work better now? Good luck, Tom

Nothing moves... it seems to be stuck when I pull on it. When I do get to pull it up what will the bucket look like?

We can't see your original problem since you started a new thread. Tom will eventually see this and get back to you but it would have been more quick to keep the old thread going.
