Please.. I need instructions how to 'copy & paste'. I have outlook express 6, and windows me...
I have a message in the body of an email that I would like to send to a private family site I belong to. I was told I need to copy and paste first.
Thank you.

To copy and paste text:
1) Select the text you want to copy
2) From the Edit menu, select Copy
3) Position the cursor where you want to put the text
4) From the Edit menu, select Paste
And voilą :)

Hi,
Here is a faster way, somewhat.
Left click on where you want to start copying, and hold down the mouse button, and drag it over what you want to copy... it will highlight it.
Then, Right click on any of the highlighted part, and Left click on Copy.
Go to the site you want to paste it to.
Then, Right click on where you want it to start, and then Left click on Paste.
If you learn this method using the mouse buttons, it will soon become second nature to you... and be much, much, faster than going back and forth to the Edit at the top of the page.
Best of luck,
fredg

And here's the really fast way:
Select the text, and then press Ctrl+C on the keyboard to copy.
Then position the cursor where you want the text to go and press Ctrl+V
That way you don't have to waste time with menus. :)

I copy, and past the link OK.
Click on the pasted link only to get re-directed to a MS advertiseing site.
I checked the pasted link and it is the same as the one I copied..
Any ideas,or is this just a "Murphy's Law" thing??

Hover over the link you pasted. Look in the lower left of your screen and It will indicate a redirect. However if you copy and paste the link to the address bar it works properly.
If you want this link to be on a web page and not a document, you will need to type it to the private family page and use html tags to make it a link that works.
Someone more versed in html will have to supply ypu with the correct tags to make a link.
