View Full Version : Diverter valve, Moen faucet

I have an older model Moen faucet. This evening, we were bathing our daughter in the sink and was using the spray hose intermittently (uh... cause she pooped in her tub!)

That's when we lost all water flow to the faucet. Water only comes out of the sprayer (when I press on the sprayer trigger, otherwise water doesn't come out except for a trickle from the sprayer nozzle because of the water pressure). From what I've searched on Google, it sounds like a diverter problem, but where do I find that and how do I replace it? Thanks!

One "Pooped"-out dad.

Remove The handle and spout and the piece with the two "O" rings,(see image) will be the diverter. Good luck, Tom

Is this also known as the CARTRIDGE, because in the image there's actually 2 places that have 2 o-rings, the cartridge and the other thing. Thanks
