View Full Version : Bryant furnace does not come on

We have central AC/Heating with separate Bryant heating and AC units that are controlled from the same thermostat in the house.

When I turn the Heat ON and set Temp to way higher than current Temp, the light on the thermostat comes on but the heating unit does not go on... no sound of burners coming on or anything, no fan blowing... in fact if I turn the fan ON manually, it shuts off when I turn the Heat on and comes back on after I turn the Heat off.

If I turn the AC on, the fan comes on, the Ac unit makes noises like it is on and doing something but the air blowing out of the vents is not cold... just room temp.

Could someone help please with anything I can try on my own before calling the tech.

Thanks.

Is it a dual fuel system. Heat pump with gas back up.

No dual fuel system... gas furnace and electric AC unit.
