Hi

I actually have three problems.
1) My computer will be working fine, then I will go to Internet Explorer, it will shut down for no reason. That isn't the problem, the problem is after it does that I am unable to click on anything in my Start Bar at the bottom of my page. I can't right click to get the Task Manager up, I can't click on the sites that are in the Menu Bar, I can't click on the start to get my programs or anything up. I can click on anything above the bar, but nothing within the bar. Any suggestions would be of great help. I usually have to shut it down using the Task Manager when it freezes like this which I can get up by CTRL ALT DEL.
I can also enter running programs by using the task manager.
2) I am unable to copy anything to my CD, my computer says there is not a disc in the tray, even when it is there. Not sure why this happens but it is rather annoying. Do you think I should clean the CD-ROM with another disc. If I put a CD with something on it, it works fine.
3) My DVD just quit working, no reason. Do I need to reinstall the driver for it or what?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Roxanne:p

OK- Roxanne

I think that I may be able to help you with the number one problem.

First of all, I don't know if you are "attached" to IE, but you really should use Firefox. Its is much more reliable and is way beyond all of these problems that IE has. You can go to Mozilla's website and download it.

Now, about your taskbar. When your in the CTRL ALT DEL Task Manager, I want you to find a process called "explorer.exe". Then I want you to end that process. Your taskbar and just about everything on your screen will disappear for a minute. Then I want you to go to the file menu and the top menu bar, go to "new task(run)" then go to "browse"

GO TO THIS LOCATION: C:\\WINDOWS

Then scroll all the way to the end or so, and you will see an icon of a desktop computer that is called "explorer.exe". Open that and your taskbar will reappear good as new!

Hope this helps
