Glycolysis is a process that occurs in all living cells - which I have to presume that you know - so what do you mean by "universal"?
If it's a question from a workbook, is that the full question?

Gycolysis is universal. The site of glycolysis is cytosol, which is present in every cell. Since it occurs in every cell we can say that it is universal.
