View Full Version : Starting a 92 4dr civic

hi am trying 2 fix my 92 civic here is the deal: i been having problems with my car specially going up hills it looses power so i starting asking and i had different answers but anyways 1 day i was heading 2 work when my car didn't start it was cranking but it wouldn't start so they told me i could be the distributor cap so i replaced it nothing than they told me 2 replace the rotor so i did nothing than they told me 2 replace the module so they told me at the store just 2 buy a new distributor so i did and it still the same thing and am not getting any sparks at the sparks while cranking .... oh another thing my shifter (stick) it wobbles side 2 side even on gears and its hard 2 find the gears they told me it may be the bushings but again i don't want 2 spend money on parts that wont make a difference can anyone please help me..pleeeeeesease .......

I have 1992 honda civic that won't start. Not getting spark changed distribator ,spark plugs,roto,wires and dist.cap. Still no spark. My son car is 500 miles away from home at college and I drove down to see if I can help, but all I've done so far is spend money.

My son is at Bible college and his car broke down 1992 honda civic. No spark changed plugs,rotor, cap the ditribulator. Still no spark. I just lost my job so I drove 500 mile to see if I can help so far I the Lord has showed me is I need help and how to spend money can anyone help me ASAP

. Answer the 3 basic diagnostic questions for me:

. Ensure battery is fully charged.

. Test all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter. Here's how:

. Remove the Ignition Control Module and coil, from the distributor, and have them tested (for free) at AutoZone. Here's how to do this:

. Jump the 2-P Service Check Connector with a paper clip, turn the ignition switch to ON (or position II), and read codes, if any.
