I have a soccer practice tomorrow that I don't feel like participating in. Our coach has told us ahead of time that we are going to be running 4 miles plus sprints and hills. I have hockey tryouts after, and I know if I do practice I will do horribly at tryouts and not make the team. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on looking just sick enough to not do practice, but not so sick that I won't be expected at school the next day? (Don't worry, I won't get caught at hockey, no one even knows I play)

Talk to your parents, have them either write or speak to the coach and explain. Honesty, not cheating will be the proper thing to do

I can't do that, my coach will kick me off the team thinking that my priorities are with hockey, not soccer

What he doesn't understand is that they're different seasons, the tryouts are just in the fall for the winter season

I've tried to explain this to him, but he hates well rounded people

Soccer is supposed to be our life

He shouldn't be allowed to kick you off the team if you miss one practice... and if he does then you and your parents can go to the principal about it..
Just try one more time.. be like.. look.. I love soccer.. but I also love hockey.. and since they are in different season.. everything works out perfect.. but I have tryouts and I don't want to be so tired that I lose my goal of being on the hockey team..
Maybe he'll finally understand..
I wouldn't fake sick though.. I've been throwing up at cheerleading practice before and I wasn't allowed to stop.. and your coach sounds like a real hardass so unles you are almost dead I doubt he'll care..
Just try again.. don't be scared and approach him with confidence..
GOOD LUCK! I hope you make the team =)
