So my husband and I haven't used any kind of protection in over a year. I haven't been on birth control about 3yrs. We try all the time! I have had a weird period in the last year, sometimes not having it for almost 2 months. I even went 3 months without having a period. And when I do have it its like its non existent. So I always think Im pregnant, but turns out Im not. How do I know if I can even have kids, do I need to go to the doctor and get some kind of test done? I just don't know what to do! Im frustrated!:(

Since you have been off birth control for 3 years (thus no need to address it clearing your system), and since you have been trying for a year... it is time to visit your doctor.
They will do some bloodwork to make sure all your hormones are at the rights levels. They will probably start you on a medication like Prometrium to regulate your period. (That's what mine did). They will most likely check your husband as well. And they will set up a plan of care to address the issue of you not being able to get pregnant.
You have hit that "year mark" that most doctors require you to hit before they step in to help. I would definitely see your doctor.

I just had a baby 16 months ago, I have been trying for #2 this will be the 3rd month. I was lucky with my daughter she came the first month we tried. So I guess I was a little spoiled. I took a test this morning tha was negative and I am due for my period today. I have no blood, but when I wipe myself there is a rose colored blood that has a clearness to it. Does this mean it is possible that I am pregnant? When I tested for my daughter I didn't test positive right away.

Charity, not only do you need to visit a doctor, but your husband does too. It is not always the woman that can't have children. Your husband should be evaluated also.

Yep, it takes two to make a baby :)
But when I visited my OBGYN, she ordered the test for my husband. She just gave me the lab orders and we took his specimen at home and delivered it to the lab.
Now this may not be the case with all doctors, but it was nice and convenient :)

Very few doctors will do this because the sperm in the ejaculate tend to die quickly unless under the right conditions.

Yeah that's why I said, that may not be how all doctors do it.
But it is really quite easy, with the tests that they do, as long as you get the sperm to the lab within an hour NO LATER, and keep it close to body temp. all th elabs can be preformed :) And luckily my husband is just fine :)
But some doctors may prefer to have the specimen collected in a controlled setting.
