I have a problem with my 99 Dodge Ram. The a.m on my radio works ,but the f.m doesn't work. Does anyboby know if I need a new radio or there is something else like a wire. I need to know before I spend money on a new one. Can anybody help me out!

You might check the antenna, perhaps even substituting another one. It may have failed in a way to give signal the AM needs, but not FM. The AM/FM switch could be bad. Taking the radio out, taking it apart, and checking and replacing the switch likely is a real pain. Other than something simple like that, all but the most expensive radios are not worth fixing. If you replace it, the work of removing it won't be for nothing.
I have the pin outs for the older Chrysler stereos if you need them.

Hi,
Have you considered taking your truck to some place like Radio Shack? They could probably check out the radio for you.
If you are considering buying a new one, I wouldn't buy it from a car dealership! Too much money.
Many of the auto parts stores, like Advance Auto, etc, have good am-fm radios on sale.
Best of luck.
