There is water in my dryer vent - how do I get it out?!

It obviously must be coming from the vent hose connected outside, the flap or cover is either gone or broken? If so... That should be replaceable for two to five dollars at your local hardware store. Getting the water out of the vent hose is usually easier than people would think... It may be a white slinky hose that is attached with a hose clamp, usually a flat head screwdriver will allow you to loosen the hose clamp to remove the hose and allow you to drain it. If it is not a hose on the back of your dryer and it is a aluminum tube, sheet metal, or galvanized metal? Then you have to use the appropriate screw driver and remove the screws until you can carefully remove the tubing from the dryer and drain it then carefully put it back on. {this steel all bends and dents very easily and is hard to reapply after being manipulated} TIP: Always make sure the slinky hose has a great air flow at the back bottom of your dryer, because so many dryers take three times as long to dry clothes and people don't know that the better the flow the more moisture is released.

Clean the vent hose from any lint from the dryer to where it exits the house very well. Then open unit up and remove the blower housing and clean that area very well also. You will eliminate the moisture problem and clothes will dry much more quick
