Is it normal for your period to run every 37 days? I haven't been on Birth control for almost a year. Only have one overy and half of everything else, I'm not pregnant can't have anymore babies. But I was just wondering. Anyone have any medical background on this subject would really like to know.

Thanks!

It's normal for some women to have a 37 day cycle. Every woman is different.

Some women have 28 day cycles, others 32 days, yet some 37 or even 40.

Your age may be a factor, I don't know how old you are. You say you "cant have anymore babies." Do you mind me asking why? This may be a factor in my answer also.

When I was 13 I had a overectomy, and my tube removed, I was only born with 1/4 of my urtius and I did have my son, he is now 7 1/2 thank god. But for some reason my urtius got damaged and that's why. BUt I'm only 23 so and my cycles used to run 28 on the dot and now sense June its ever 37days. I even skiped in July. So I'm just a little nervous...

You had an Oophorectomy? That is the surgical removal of the ovary.

Were both ovaries and tubes removed or only one?

Well, then, pregnancy is still a possibility.

May be time to invest in a HPT.

I have I took like 10 of them and they all say they are negative that's why I'm not worried about that. Plus I really don't think I can have babies anymore. I'm giving it until the oct 14 that will make it 37 days and then I'll start freaking out. But I really don't think I am...

If you have one intact tube and one intact ovary, you can still get pregnant.

I will tell you that with all 4 of my pregnancies I never registered a positive until 4 months along unless it was with a blood test.

May be time to visit your doctor and find out what is going on.

Maybe your right, I have to go get blood work done today for my prolacton level maybe he can add on a HCG test as well

I really don't think I can have babies anymore

I also have only my right ovary due to surgery. I would suggest asking the doc for that HCG test. My doctor tells me that even after having cancer (the reason for my surgery) I'm just as likely to get pregnant as any other woman. I'd say your chances could be pretty good.
