I have the following problem to solve and was wondering if someone could check my answers for me. Thanks.
-Mr. Swenson packed 2 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, 2 sports jackets, and 2 ties for a trip. How many different outfits does he have that include one of each item?
MY ANSWER: To answer this question I made one pair blue and one red abbreviated r and b to show that there are two pairs of each shirts, pants, jackets, and ties. So for example rs means red shirt, bs means blue shirt, rp stands for red pants and so forth.
1.) rs,rp,rj,rt
2.)rs,rp,rj,bt
3.)rs,rp,bj,rt
4.) rs,bp,rj,rt
5.)bs,bp,bj,bt
6.)bs,bp,bj,bt
7.)bs,bp,rj,bt
8.)bs,bp,bj,rt
9.)rs,bp,bj,bt
10.)rs,bp,bj,rt
11.)bs,rp,rj,rt
12.) bs,rp,rj,bt
13.)rs,rp,bj,bt
14.) rs,bp,rj,bt
15.) bs,rp, bj, rt

The answer should be 2x2x2x2=16, so you are missing one possible wardrobe.
