I am a 22 year old female, I have been taking birth control pill since I was about 16, my husband got deployed over seas so I stopped taking them, 9 days before he came back on leave I started them again, we have unprotected sex, and in the 9 days prior I was on them I took them at different times in the day and a couple of the days I had to double up for forgetting the day prior... should I be worryed about getting pregnet? Is it a higher chance for me?

Yes, your chances are higher. For the pill to work correctly it MUST be taken daily and at approximately the same time every day.

While the pill is pretty effective, it is still possible to get pregnant even when taking it exactly as directed.

Yep, you are at a higher risk because you are not taking them as prescribed. Most doctors will even tell you when you start back on the pill to use another form of protection for 2 weeks to give the pill time to be in your system and be as effective as possible.

Even if you take the pill as perscribed, there is a chance for pregnancy. That was the case with me... took the pill same time everyday, never missed a day... I now have a little girl who is almost 6.
But for me, it was the best failure in medication I have ever had :)
