I need to want to rewire our Sears Kenmore laundry center series 91651 from 110v to 220v... can anyone direct me to a source for this information? i.e. how to open up from the back to get at the wiring frame, remove the 110v service, and add the 220v service. I have a usage manual but no maintenance or installation manual.

It may not be a good model number. I checked www3.sears.com and nothing came up.

I believe whirlpool made this for sears and should have model # starting 110.---------. I also think you can purchase a kit for this. Have you checked with you local appliance parts store?

I think that Doug's advise with checking with an appliance store is going to be your best
resource. If I may ask where did you get the knowledge that this would be an upgrade
option for the machine. I personally have newer hear of such an conversion.
I was in the business for 7 years with Sears Service and never ran into this
type of machine and would like to know if it is really possible to make such
an conversion.

I may be wrong from my experience selling such units but there are (or were a few years back) two versions, one that could run on either 110V or 220V and one that was capable of using only 110V with no ability to use or adapt to 220V. Open the door of washer, lift the washer lid, write down the complete model number and the go to Sears.com, click on parts, enter the model number and see if you can find the info you are seeking.
