We have a 1992 Honda Accord that knocks while turning. We have had the CV boots check and they are in tack (had boot and joint assembly replaced in April of this year). The shop that did the CV thought it might be the transmission leaking fluid on the bushing at the transaxle so we took it to a trans shop and found the transmission isn't leaking. The car does leak oil. Any ideas.

The only thing that could knock when u turn is the axles does it do it when u turn both ways ?if it knocks when u turn right it's the driver side axle. Left it's the passenger side just because the boot are not tore does not mean they are good hope this helps

Maybe this will help. Cv axles will be more of a clicking , turn the wheel all the way to one side and back up you will here clicking. A knock would be a ball joint or tie end rod. Jack the car up and take hold of tire with both hands and see if you can move it back and forth like you are trying to turn it with your hands see if there is any play. Hope this helps.
