Help! The supports for the shelves in my Frigidaire refrigerator have broken, making the refrigerator side nearly unusable. Is there any way I can fix these things without calling in an expensive repair tech to do it for me? I need to replace three shelf supports, two of which are for the drawers. Also, the Ice dispenser is constantly getting jammed, so ice will not flow through it. The water dispenser lever has broken off . Any helpful advice on this would be very helpful. The unit was purchased in 02, but has not had a problem with not cooling I would much rather fix the shelves and dispenser than shell out another $1-2k on a new unit.

I once sold appliances, some manufacturers I was not happy with and a couple of others I felt confident they were well built and would last. It's my opinion your shelf brackets, etc should have lasted longer. I would go back to the seller, ask them to contact the manaufacturer for you or at least give you the contact info (By the way, your warranty may offer some coverage, so ck that out too), ask them to either repair or meet you half way on the repairs or better yet, give you a partial refund to apply toward another fridge. I personally like Whirpool or Kitchenaide. Iwont mention the manufactures that I dislike unless you want to send me a private message and then I will be glad to disclose the ones I am not fond of.
