The bottom of the dishwasher fills up with water when it sits. Seems to only take a couple of hours for the water to fill up enough that it will leak out the door if the door is open. Pressing the CANCEL button will drain the water. But it will fill up again in a couple of hours.

Is your drain hose stopped up with debris - I have a similar problem on a regular basis it seems, I have a double sink next to the dishwasher. I plung both drains, one at a time with the water running in the sink while holding the other drain closed. It has worked for me every time. Try it first and if it works, its free, otherwise you may find it's another issue like maybe a bad pump motor on the dishwasher. Perhaps an applicance repairman can help if he reads your post.

I work on dishwashers and I have found that in the case of the dishwasher filling up with water when it is not being used is because of a bad water valve, it does not shut the water off completely, like a faucet dripping, and after a period it lets the dishwasher tub fill.
The valve is not hard to change if you have any experience in this sort of thing, if not it is best to have someone to do it for you.
To get the water out of the tub you can dip it out or you can continue to use your CANCEL button. But the water will continue to seep into the dishwasher until you get it repaired.

Thanks for the reply.
I have disconnected the drain hose to eliminate this as a possibility.
The issue still occurs. I suspect the water inlet valve, but was looking for outside opinions.
Working on this dishwasher is a real nightmare because of where is it in the kitchen.
Hoping to get it right the first attempt.

Thanks... I suspected this as a possible cause.

Find the stop valve that supplies water to the dishwasher and turn it off.99% of the time it is connected to the hot water riser under the sink. Look for a T line that goes into the cabinet where the DW is housed.
