This is an R&B song, from the mid to late 80's I believe. I've got 50.00 bucks coming if I can find the name of the group that sang a song called Tennis Anyone. I think it was one of those 'one hit wonder' type of groups. It was a slow song and here are some of the lyrics: Tennis anyone, tennis anyone? I'd like to serve you love girl, one on one, I'd like to score love with you. My friend and I have combed 'the net' ALL day today trying to find this. If someone could possible blow the dust off their cassette tapes(yes, I said cassette tapes) and pass the name of the group and the title of the cassette. I would surely be forever in your debt...

A group called Gorillaz did one called Monkey Tennis Anyone?

Might that be it?

NO, no... I am an all around music buff, so I KNOW this was not that song. These were R&B guys... thanx though!

Hi Meek, you've stumped me on this one. My only real guesses:

"Anyone for Tennis" - Cream (Eric Clapton)
"How Do You Like Your Love Served" - New Edition

The latter came out in 1996, but the time frame you gave would roughly coincide with the height of the group's career.

Hope this helps a bit...

By the way... Never mind casettes, I still remember 8 tracks!

Hi again. This one is a stretch, talk about obscure... I'm not at all familiar with this group, and I am unable to find many references, never mind any real lyrics, but...

"Serve It Up (Tennis Anyone?)" - Ghetto Rainbow

A link to reference the group:

If this is not it, I truly give up. Hope this is the one! :)

None of these are it you guys, but thanks! I found out the group was called Today, pretty much 'one hit wonder' types. They only had two CDs one called New Formula and one called Today. I can't seem to find those either. I passed this on to my friend who started this whole maddness and now she is in denial. I have decided to purchase both the CDs to prove her wrong. Now I am on a quest to find the two CDs... any suggestions would help. Thanks guys.

Amazon's got Today... I don't see the other one yet, but here's a list of potential hits to check out:
