This is a very touchy subject, and I want to know.

Someone who is "said" to have a warrant for child porn possession in Canada, who does not live in Canada.

Needs to know:
1. is there a statute of limitation on this
2. is there any worry to go to the US?

There has been no arrest regarding this, the warrant was never presented or delivered.

All the help that can be given will be appreciated.
(the claim is a bogus claim, but none the less, the person in afraid for his well being)

Hello laws:

IF there's a warrant, it never expires. And, IF there's a warrant, he could be busted at the border.

Even if the warrant is for Canada and not the US?

So this individual does not live in Canada or the US and wants to go to US on vacation?

Does this individual hold a passport? If so, what country?

If Canadian, the warrant might pop up if he uses the passport, especially in the US, and he could be arrested.

Warrants NEVER expire.

Yes, there is a treaty between the US and Canada, if caught here in the US on the warrant he would merely be transported to canada after a hearing. Most likley they would be caught by immigation if they are flying into the US or Canada.

If there is a warrant, it never runs out, it will still be active 20 years from now.

Ok, I understand, this is not so good.

Is there a way to solve this situation without the person having to go to canada? He could face arrest and time in jail, the reason he left was he had no friends or family there, that meant also no bail (asureties for him) and a dark time in jail without anyone explaining what was going on.

Hi is living in Mexico, Mexican passport, and he does not want to fly to the us to vacation, he needs to make a connection there.

Hello laws:

He can hire an attorney to find out IF a warrant even exists. I would do that.

Yes, hire an attorney, arrange bail and work on a defense
