OK, here's the deal:
I didn't get my period for 2 months. I took at least 5 or 6 "ept"'s and they all came back "not pregnant". Then today after 2 months, I got spotting. I was getting cramps but no period. I keep gaining weight even after watching what I eat and exercise. I was under some stress but not for 2 months. To me it doesn't make any sense to have your period disappear for over 2 months and then just lightly appear... what should be done because I don't know if something could be wrong or what to do. Help anyone?

How old are you? Are you overly active? Are you, or were you using birth control and if so, what kind? Do you eat healthy? All of these things could play into what you describe. Just worrying about being pregnant can cause enough stress to stop your periods.

You ask what to do?? I think it's pretty obvious! Make a doctor's appointment! If you ARE pregnant, you need medical care. If you are not, then you need a medical opinion as to why you are having these symptoms.

Good luck!

Well no I'm not on because and I do eat healthy and I exercise 3 or 4 times a week. It just don't make no sense as to why I'm 2 months pregnant and then get light bleeding... could I still be pregnant? Even with the light bleeding occurring?

Lots of women continue to have periods for a month or two, and even longer, while pregnant. However, you are saying many pregnancy tests have been negative so you really should see a doctor. If you are young, your periods can be sporadic, overly light at times, and heavy at other times. I assume that you are, because you haven't responded to my question. Go for a blood test. There are clinics if you are afraid someone might find out. The most important thing is that IF you are pregnant that you have medical attention in your first trimester... especially if you are young!

oh I'm sorry, I am 24... I don't have medical right now because of the situation I just finally got out of so its going to be harder to get all that done and straightened out. I'm in the middle of it and its taking sum time.

Yes, something could be wrong or it could be just stress, change in hormones, activity level, etc. Even if you don't have medical there are clinics such as Planned Parenthood that provide low cost services to women based on their financial status. Two months in a row is a pretty long time - two cycles. You said because you were nervous because of missing periods and the weight gain and you were in a 'situation' which makes it harder to get health insurance. It sounds like stress may be playing a physical trick on your body.

I'd also like to add if you are pregnant it is imperative that you start getting some form of pre-natal treatment. If you are planning on carrying this child to term you have to start getting checkups to insure that your baby is healthy.

There are programs typically through your municipality for free or low cost pre-natal care.

Call your local hospital and tell ask them where you can get free or low cost pregnancy check and pre-natal care if necessary. Please don't delay. It sounds like you have been under tremendous stress, also. Do you have any support systems?Hugs, Didi
