Boom when do you need to know the answer to this question (probablly tonight) but anyway if you still need help with it tomorrow I can help you through it but I won't give you the answer without showing you the work which will take me a little (Unless there is some short cut that I am just over looking) And I don't have any time right now

You can use the distance formula D = rt, where D = distance, r = rate or speed and t = time in miles per hour.

You will need to convert minutes to hours BEFORE using the distance formula.

44.5 minutes is how many hours?

44.5 minutes x 1hour/60minutes = 0.742 hours

We now plug and chug.

D = rt

226K = r times 0.742 hours

Divide both sides by 0.742 hours to find r (speed of the train).

Can you take it from here?
