My friend died a year ago and I still have toublle coping with it. I sometimes have trouble sleeping and I cannot look at the yearbook. His name was Eric and he was a really cool guy. We were good friends and we almost starrted a relationship when it happened. It was a normal day and I went to school but did not see him. During assembly the head came up and told us the news. I cried a couple times and soon I went into shock and forgot all about hiim. I have just now started to remember and I just want ot move on. Any advice?

This is the anniversary date of this happening. It's normal to have this feeling. You should talk to a counselor and they would give you tips to deal with it. Are you still in school? They may have someone there you can talk to. I think talking about will help you a great deal.

It's part of the greiving process. I had 3 friends to deal with. One in grade school was rinding his bike and got hit by a car. Two in high school. A friend committed suicide. Another student who was extremely smart got hit by a soccer ball and died. He had lukemia and didn't know it. My first experience with death was my grandma at 3 YO. She died when was in the room. The most notable was when we disconnected the respirator from my father and he died about 10 min later.

Life is a terminal illness. Death is part of life. Grieve. Move on.
