hmmm... lets see now... p= price,x=number of mugs.

p=48/x
(3+p)(x-2)=22

Try solving that. (not sure though, I could be wrong:))
oh yeah this is a simultaneous equation so replace (3+P) with (3+48/x) and so forth...
