I would have to say 96,000 You can do this in many ways but the one that works the most often is 240,00 X 0.40 = 96,000 I hope you try other types as well. Good luck

For numbers that end in zero, to find percentages that are a multiple of 10 such a 10, 20, 30, 40... without a calculator, I often drop the last digit and multiply by whatever multiple of 10 I need. In this case the 240,000 would become 24,000. I would then multiply that by 4, and the answer would be 96,000. This is the same as taking 1/10 of the original number and multiplying by 4. If the math makes you nervous, get a calculator.
