Hi there I am starting a cleaning service and I need to know what do I charge to clean homes and other businesses. The clean service is for commercial and residential,inside and outside cleaning and we will clean all so I need to know what to charge. From pressure washing to shampuing carpets to sweeping and moping to windows and walls upstairs downstairs and all rooms so please help me thank you god bless

There is no way we can tell you what to charge since such charges vary by location.

You sound as if you may have worked for a cleaning company in the past? If so, try to get the information from someone there. I do not suggest that you contact the owners or higher management, you are now a competitor of theirs. But possibly someone in middle management that you knew. (Long shot... )

ScottGem is very correct, pricing is all over the board in any given area. You will have to find out what your competition is charging. If you have any contacts there, call them. Sometimes a prospect/customer will help with this type of information when they know that you are new and need help.

What I would do is call other cleaning companies and ask them, make believe you're a cutomer and ask what they charge for housecleaning, call a couple of places and that should give you a good ideal what the normal pricing is. You don't have to let them know your intent, just that your thinking of getting their services and you'd love to know how they price and how much.

Not trying to be mean or purposely disagree with you but I never liked going to a competitor under a presumed name. Never really felt that was kosher. There is a website; "The Janitorial Store" that has a ton of information aliegned directly to cleaning companys' questions. There is a small charge but WELL worth it. You can also post direct questions to experienced people who are more than willing to help once you belong to the site. You ask your question/s and they email you back the same or next day. Make your questions precise and to the point.
