Im curious to know if I could be in early labor.
Here are some symptoms I have.
Loss of mucous plug for the past week and a half without blood.
Nausea
Constipation/diarrhea
Loss of appetite (actually, it makes me feel like Im going to vomit if I eat anything)
Period like cramping in my lower abdomen
Lower back pain
Tons of braxton hicks, sometimes with the cramping and back pain, takes my breath away.
Pelvic pressure
Numb thighs
Baby has dropped
Dizzy
Last night, I lost another huge glob of mucous plug. This morning, I woke with some pretty bad cramping, back pain, nausea, pelvic pressure, numb legs, and a bunch of braxton hicks.
Could this be the beginning of labor for me?
Thank you.

How many weeks are you? Have you called your doctor?

Im 33w3d today and no, I haven't called my midwife yet. My next appoinment is on the 4th, I was hoping to make it until then. I plan to call her if things get at all worse though. I am just looking for opinions before I do anything. This is my first baby.

You need to call her now. I had my first at 34 weeks. The baby might very well be on its way. It is better to call and not need her than to get too far along without her.

Actually, part of the reason Im not too worried about going into labor is because 34+ weeks here, they won't stop the labor, though they want you to go to 37 weeks. :/ But, I will definitely give her a call, I understand better safe then sorry.
Thank you!

Definitely give her a call. If you do go into labor they will need to give you an injection to help mature the lungs. You aren't considered full term until 37 weeks, and at 33 the lungs are definitely not mature enough. They can also do a test that will determine if you will go into early labor. Lots of women will lose their mucous plug early, but won't go into labor until full term. No bloody show is a good sign, but definitely call to be on the safe side.

Thank you.
I talked to my midwife, explained a bunch of things to her (she had a patient in labor at the hospital when I was talking to her) and she said baby's head is engaged and to watch for bloody show, regular contractions or 6+ braxton hicks an hour etc etc. She didn't seem too worried though.
Im still cramping, lower back ache etc, but the braxton hicks have eased off a bit.
With all these symptoms and now finding out baby's head is engaged, Im assuming I'll have a baby in the next few weeks. Does that sound about right?

It's possible! You just never know with these things. Make sure you are staying hydrated. Have you tried drinking water for the cramps? You might want to down a couple of bottles of water and see if that will help them ease up. Try walking or lying on your left side. All you can really do at this point is rest, relax, and wait. Good luck!
