Hi I have a question about my tractor. The engine is a B&S 16 hp twin cylinder model 402707. It was running great when it began to loose power. I checked the plugs and checked for spark. Very week and intermitent. Also one side better than the other. I bought and installed a new coil and spark plugs. Now I have no spark! Good charged battery,new fuel lines with inline filter. Any help would be appreciated. I work on my own dirtbikes and boats but am unfamiliar with this style of engine. I am trying to find a repair manual for it so I can better understand the electrical. Utt ohh, you may have installed the coil upside down and ruined it. It will say either "cylinder side" , or "this side out". If you installed it incorrectly it may have shot it. How did you set the gap between the coil and flywheel?
