I purchased a 1997 Nissan Pulsar for my daughter 6 months ago without the manuals. Recently the battery needed replacing and now the car stereo has locked and I cannot get it to work. Can anyone help me to find and enter the unlock code for the CD stereo/radio player? It is unbranded so presume it is an original factory model. John, Canberra:(

Hiya can you take it out of the car? I had the same problem with my ford ka I took it to a car shop that sells car stereos and speakers an they did it for me it cost 10 quid but it were worth it just to have music to drive to! Failing that take it to a nissan garage

With a used car w/o manuals you have a few options
1)Contact Nissan with the VIN for the reset code or have a local Nissan dealer contact them for you.
2a)If possible, ask the former owner if they wrote down the code somewhere
2b)where they usually had the car serviced and that repair shop may have it on record.
3) Maybe Carfax keeps that info on record.
4)get a new stereo for the car
