I just replaced my indoor air handler fan motor. How ever I could not read the rpm on the old one and I think the new one is too fast it makes too much noise. The new one is 1100 rpm. What should the approx speed be. It cools OK but when ever the fan comes on I need to turn the TV up so I can hear it.

The motor speed varies depending on the manufacturer, if the new motor is a multi speed then you can change the fan speed. You might take your model number and call a local distributor and ask them what the rpm's were on the original motor.
Or you might post your units model number and maybe some one here has some information on it or can research it to find this information. Mike
