Good Morning! Ive read other posts that are similar to my problem and followed all the instructions giving, but still having the same problem.
Here goes my story... PLEASE HELP ! I need a shower! Ha Ha :)

Ok... Lots of cold water pressure, NO hot water pressure. Called fire dept, and they have not done any flushings. Hooked hose up to Hot Water tank, opened valve... turned main water and ELECTRIC off and drained the HW tank. Took forever to drain (60 gal), stuck screwdriver up the little drain hose, got some crud... Nothing too bad. (HW Tank and home is only 5 years old), filled it back up through the night and this morning when I got up the hot water ran with normal water pressure for about 45 seconds and then dissapearred again. No Hot water pressure again.

Any suggestions? Thanks so much and sorry to bother you on a Sunday.
Thanks
Michelle

No bother Michelle, Happy to oblige.
You needn't have drain the tank, flushing would have been enough.
Are you telling me that EVERY fixture's affected? That you don't get hot water any where in the house?
The only way to solve a problem like this is by doing it the hard way and that's by starting at the closest fixture to the heater and opening up valves and flushing lines to determine exactly the loss's occurring. That's the normal place to start on a complaint of this sort. However the mystery comes in, (I love mystery complaints) when you tell me the hot water line produced hot water to the,( I presume) master bath and then shut down after running for 45 seconds. This makes me wonder if the blockage isn't at the heaters hot water outlet itself or very close to it. Let me know if ALL the fixtures are affected. Regards, Tom
