You have two choices here:
(1) go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the drivers for your make and model of computer
(2) use ATI's generic drivers for your chipset which are here
Catalyst™ 6.11 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home Edition (http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeon-prer300-xp.html)

Supplimentary question

Should I uninstall the previous driver data before installing the new one?

Here (http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=20870) they say yes. So download new version first, uninstall old version, probably reboot to large blocky font Desktop, install new drivers.
