I was wondering how much money a phlebotimist makes in upper montgomery county in Maryland. Im going to be finishing school soon and not sure which way to go, medical assisting, or phlebotomy. One of these will be my stepping stone into nursing. Please help.

Just in case some of us don't know what phlebotimists are, here is an explanation:

Phlebotomy, sometimes referred to as Venipuncture, is concerned with the drawing of blood for use in blood tests and collection. Phlebotomists are trained to work in hospitals, labs, and other medical facilities, often working alongside nurses and doctors in dealing with patients. A career in phlebotomy requires certification and training in how to use needles, vacuum tubes, and syringes.

What an interesting profession ! And how interesting that would be to work with so many professional people.

As far as pay scale goes, I think you could probably find that out if you talk nice to the payroll department of some hospitals in your area.

I started a data profile on phlebotomy and used a zip code of a hospital in your county
