I recently received my last child support check from the Dept of Revenue. The other party still has an Income Deduction Order in place with his employer and they are still taking the support out of his check. The DOR sent him a refund check for the payment his employer took out of his check this month. This process took about 3 weeks. Our local Clerk of the Court still has a balance on their child support ledger which is ALL interest that has accumulated over the years of being behind; and they added the refund amount that was sent to the other party back on to the ledger. The DOR sent me a letter that said they would close my account in 60 days if I didn't do anything or I could dispute it.
We would like to file an Agreement/Motion that states that all child support is paid in full and that I do not want to collect the interest that is on the ledger. We need to zero out the Clerk's ledger and somehow cancel the IDO. What paper work do we need to file to accomplish this?

Ask the DOR

What state and city do you live in? Most states have the forms online now.

The case is in Palm Beach County, Florida. I have been online and could not find a specific form for this request.

I would call them and see what they say. It may be a simple as just writing a letter.

I called DOR - no help there - they said the account was closed. I called my local clerk of the court - they referred me to the self help department. WOW! What a help, I told her what I needed to do and she told me I could file a general motion to include all of my requests. She did tell me to be specific and ask for an order from the judge to confirm my requests.
Thanks for the help
